Meet & Greet
K. Farrar Ministries LLC

K. Farrar began praying about the call on her life in her early 20s after graduating JMU.  During this formative time, she was a committed church drummer for the Victory Praise Singers at her local church, the Richmond Christian Center (RCC).

It's no surprise that K. later went on to follow the voice of God in founding two powerful ministries herself.  The young adult ministry ICE – Invincible Collegiate Evangelist and later Bloodline Music Group both of which greatly impacted the lives young people and helped birth a new generation of Christian leaders. Both ministries took her and the team to an array of venues as they ministered for worship services, appeared for festivals, college events and in forums like: Bobby Jones Gospel, TV One’s Jeff Majors Show, Holy Hip Hop Atlanta, the Black Expo, 2nd Street Festival, Columbus Christian Center, and even in London England.

While music helped ground her passion for the Lord and build tenacity and Faith, where she is today is the culmination of ALL that God has done from childhood until now.  Her love for the Lord traces back to being first introduced to JESUS as a young child by her grandmother, Olivia Cecil Jackson Parham.  And everything else now fades in comparison to her chief passion of living and teaching the Gospel.

In terms of ministering the Word, K. was trained, licensed, and ordained at RCC.  She taught new members classes, was regularly scheduled to teach Friday night Bible study and was also a prayer counselor after Sunday services.  While it’s hard to quantify, it’s safe to say that over a period of 10+ years she personally prayed with and counseled hundreds of people leading them to Christ and into the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in her time at RCC and Mt. Gilead where she was ultimately ordained and licensed as an Elder.

Music ministry sparked the opportunity for travel internationally to Finland, Russia and Switzerland.  The bold evangelistic thrust of the Victory Praise Singers even had her distributing native-language Bibles in unreached areas.  All key factors in forming her edgy, un-afraid approach to life and ministry to this day.

Professionally, K. worked for the Commonwealth of Virginia and was blessed to serve as Deputy Cabinet Secretary in Governor Tim Kaine’s administration.  There she oversaw a $800,000,000+ budget and 7 state agencies. Her special focus was on the Department of Minority Business Enterprise, and she drafted the Small Women and Minority Business Executive Order for the Governor’s signature.

Prior to that she served as Special Assistant for Strategic Management to Governor Mark R. Warner.  Her chief accomplishments were leading the Governor’s Partnership for Achieving Successful Schools (PASS), writing, and managing the Governor’s Strategic Plan, being founding editor of the Governor’s Leadership Communique and leading Strategic Management initiatives that helped garner Virginia “Best Managed State” in the nation accolades from Pew Trust and Governing Magazine.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University in Public Administration, a Master’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Personnel Administration/Policy Analysis, Planning and Evaluation, and leadership certificates from the Virginia Executive Institute and Harvard’s JFK School.  But her greatest honor is receiving the knowledge of GOD through HIS son JESUS and the pursuit of HIS will and purpose for her life.  As such, K. Farrar Ministries was officially launched March 2023 and this story is . . .
